Chevin celebrates its 10th anniversary

Expansion to help strengthen position

Established in the suburb of Chicago in 1999, Chevin Tools has grown considerably in recent years. In 2006 it broke the $1 million sales barrier for the first time, and is on track to top $1.2m this financial year.
The site initially opened as a sales office, but has grown to include a storage and distribution facility.
The company operates a cellular structure, with each cell having its own manager who acts as a single point of contact for prospective customers, and concentrates on a specific product area: toolholding, workholding, subcontract machining and development work.
This approach allows Chevin to retain the trust of highly respected customers such as Mazak, Sandvik Coromant, Dresser Waukesha, Sulzer Pumps and Cameron.
Chevin Tools celebrates its 10th anniversary by launching a new corporate branding, including a modernized logo and promotional material.
Moreover, Chevin has recently set up a new office and warehouse, based in Elgin.
Helping drive this forward is recently appointed Vice-President, Tim Thorburn, who has recruited a Sales person to expand the business in new areas.
The current plan is to offer better services, and the intention is for it to treble in size over the following five years and by then to employ around 20 people.
