THROUGH COOLANT STATIC TOOLHOLDERS

In order to maximize the full benefits of recent advances in machine tool designs, Chevin Tools has developed a new range of toolholders suitable for delivering high pressure coolant directly through the cutting tip of static tools and thereby enabling significant improvements in cutting efficiency and reducing production costs.

BENEFITS OF THE CHEVIN TOOLS THROUGH COOLANT STATIC TOOLHOLDER RANGE INCLUDE

  • High pressure coolant feed - rated up to 80 bar
  • Dual coolant feeds, both externally through adjustable nozzles and internally, directly through the cutting tool and to precise cutting point
  • Suitable for new ranges of through coolant static tooling by Sandvik Coromant, Walter and Seco
  • Lower capital set-up costs than Chevin Capto system
  • Range available for both boring, turning and parting-off, accommodating for most the major Machine Tool Manufacturers, including Mazak, DN Solutions, DMG Mori, Okuma and Haas.
  • Can be used as a direct replacement for standard toolholders using standard static tooling

Can be used as a direct replacement for standard external turn holders

BORING (INTERNAL)

 A.  High pressure internal coolant feed; directly through to the cutting tool (80 bar)
 B.  Adjustable external nozzle
 C.  Split bar clamping for improved damping and cutting performance
 D.  Removable through coolant back plate
 

Available in various diameter tool sizes (max size dependent on machine model)
Compatible with Chevin Tools reduction sleeves
Can be used as a direct replacement for standard boring bar holders

PARTING-OFF (CUT-OFF)

 A.  High pressure internal coolant feed; directly through to the cutting tool (80 bar)
 B.  Quick & easy coolant feed control (internal / external / both)
 C.  Adjustable external nozzle
 D.  Modular design facilitates both inboard and outboard blade arrangements using the same holder**
 E.  Cam mechanism; allows for fine adjustment of tool height

Can be specified as either forward or reverse turn
Compatible with various sizes & specifications of tooling blades
Can be used as a direct replacement for cut-off and parting blades
